Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is rolling out a new “Call Link” feature for Windows beta users, which allows users to create a link to join a call.

It has been reported that the Meta-owned messaging platform WhatsApp is rolling out a new “Call Link” feature for Windows beta users.

WABetaInfo reports the new feature is available to beta testers on the calls tab.

Choose between voice and video calls and copy the link so others can join the call through WhatsApp chats.

Every time a new call link is created, the URL will be unique so no one can join users’ private calls without permission.

Using the new feature, users can invite people to join a WhatsApp call without adding them to their contact list.

After installing the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2307.1.0 update available on the Microsoft Store, the new call link option was released to some beta testers. It is expected to roll out to more users over the next few days.

In the meantime, earlier this month, it was reported that the platform was rolling out a new photo and video shortcut within groups and chats.
